Pricing

Pay for Postgres.
Never for licences.

You pay for the machines you run, or for the people behind them. PostgreSQL itself stays free, on every plan.

Questions

Asked often.

Is keenPG really just PostgreSQL?

Yes. Both flavours run the unmodified community PostgreSQL. What you pay for is the automation, tooling and people around it, never the database itself.

Which flavour do I need, KPK or KPA?

keenPG on Kubernetes (KPK) if you run OpenShift, Kubernetes, OKD or Rancher. keenPG Automation (KPA) if you run PostgreSQL on virtual machines rather than containers. Not sure? Talk to us.

Can I move between KPA and KPK later?

Yes. It's the same Postgres in both, so you can move from VMs to Kubernetes (or back) without changing your applications. Our experts can help.

What counts as a "core" for KPK subscriptions?

One physical core, or two vCPUs, that runs a PostgreSQL instance under subscription. Replicas count, and backup and monitoring servers don't.

Do you offer discounts for startups, education or non-profits?

Yes: special pricing for startups, education and non-profits. Talk to us.

What hardware do I need?

Standard x86_64 or ARM64 Linux servers or VMs. We size it with you before installation and tell you exactly what to provision.
